This song was performed by actress Ikuko Numazawa, who lives in Sendai, at the recitation performance "Ikuko Numazawa Hitori Recitation VII Elegy" held on September 27, 2017 at Izumiti 21 Small Hall in Izumi Ward, Sendai City. I created this as the theme music for the program "The Hunting Gun" (a novel by Yasushi Inoue).
The whole story is set in E minor, but in order to reflect the content of the measures in the music, we include borrowings from other keys, modes, altered chords, tension chords, etc. to create a feeling of ``anxiety,'' ``doubt,'' and ``brilliantness.'' The short song created conflicting atmospheres.
I keep the rhythm and tempo fairly constant, with only a few fluctuations, to give a sense of unity to the well-flowing story. At the performance, I played some of the elements, but after the performance I finished it into a short three-part piece.
It's a short piece of music that doesn't require a high level of technique, so it's easy to work on.
