This is a duet piece composed after the 2007 Tohoku Mandolin Festival in Akita, and is the fifth work in the "PLECTRUM" series.
"PLECTRUM" is basically used as the title of works that do not use tremolo playing, and as of 2020, 5 works have been released. I-IV are works for mandolin ensemble.
When creating works for mandolin or guitar, I try to use open strings effectively, and in this work I focused on the fact that the open notes of the first string of mandolin and guitar are both "mi". I created a song in which the "mi" sound continues throughout the song. Although it is a short song, please enjoy playing it at a good tempo, with emphasis on harmony so that the open strings do not sound too strong, and with Latin rhythms and chords.
