Composer Maciocchi (1874-1955) was an Italian mandolin guitar player and composer born in Rome. He lived in Paris from around 1900.
In 1905, he founded the mandolin music magazine L'ESTUDIANTINA, where he published many mandolin pieces.
Many ensemble pieces, including the overture ``Miltalia'', ``The Mill Girls'', ``Wheat Festival'', and ``Sevira Sky'', are still loved today.
He also has some duets for mandolin and guitar, but they are surprisingly little known.
