Children's song / Keropons

Lyrics: Toshihiko Shinzawa Composition: Hirotaka Nakagawa Arrangement: Kunisaku Sakai

The lyricist, Toshihiko Shinzawa, was born in 1963 and is a picture book author, children's literature writer, and singer-songwriter.
She also works as a lecturer for childcare workers and kindergarten teachers, and has published many childcare teaching materials.
Composer Hirotaka Nakagawa is a picture book author and singer-songwriter born in 1954.
After dropping out of university, he began working as a nursery school teacher, and is said to be one of the first men to obtain a nursery school teacher qualification.
Some of the works by this duo include "Children of the World" (1987) and "To Be Friends" (1987), and for those born in the Heisei era, these are probably nostalgic songs that they may have sung in kindergarten, nursery school, or elementary school.

The two began serializing songs in the magazine "Ongaku Hiroba (Monthly Kuyon)" (Crayon House) in April 1987. "Niji" was published in this magazine in 1991.
The song was included in Tsuruno Takeshi's mini album "Churu no Uta" in 2011, and was also used as the commercial song for Kao Attack in 2019 and Meiji Yogurt R1 in 2020, and remains popular among children today.
