NHK TV drama series “Boogie Woogie” song

Lyrics: Masaru Suzuki Composer: Ryoichi Hattori
Arrangement: Kunisaku Sakai

It was composed by Ryoichi Hattori and sung by Shizuko Kasagi, and was released in 1947.
Since then, it has been covered by many people, including Hibari Misora, but I think the most familiar one is the one used in the Clear Asahi commercial.

Apart from the trio version published in the fall 2023 issue of "Kadeneru!", we have rewritten a new full orchestra version based on the version sung by Shuri, the main character of NHK's TV drama series "Boogie Woogie" this fall.

There is no distinction between tremolo and picking on the mandolin. As a guideline, I think it's a good idea to consider using a tremolo with a length that exceeds a quarter note, but I also think it's a good idea to consider the number of people and tempo when deciding. I think it would be fun to layer the sounds of small rhythm instruments, synths, etc. Since it's ``Boogie Woogie,'' I want it to be played rhythmically and in a fun way.

Please enjoy!
