It was composed in memory of the people and their families affected by the tsunami caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011.
``Boyō no Uta'' is based on the image of the Pacific Ocean in Minamisanriku. It is a large cobalt blue panorama that can be seen 270 degrees from Gobansho Park, a hill located at the tip of the Oshika Peninsula in Miyagi Prefecture.
It was released in 2014, but in order to incorporate it into the suite and release it again, we lowered the repeated entry into the 2nd "B" by an octave. We also reviewed the overall method of applying phrase legato.
