Song from the NHK drama series "Boogie Woogie"

Lyrics: Masaru Suzuki Music: Ryoichi Hattori
Arrangement: Kunisaku Sakai

Composed by Hattori Ryoichi and sung by Kasagi Shizuko, it was released in 1947.
Since then, it has been covered by many people, including Misora Hibari, but the most recent version is probably the one used in the Clear Asahi commercial.

In addition to the trio version published in the Fall 2023 issue of "Kanaderu!", we have rewritten a new version for full orchestra based on the version sung by Shuri, the main character in this fall's NHK drama series, "Boogie Woogie."

I have not made any distinction between mandolin tremolo and picking. As a guideline, I think it's a good idea to consider tremolo for lengths longer than a quarter note, but you should also consider the number of people and the tempo when deciding. It's also fun to layer sounds from small rhythm instruments and synths. Since it's a "boogie-woogie," I want you to play it rhythmically and enjoyably.

Please enjoy!
