The sound hole is designed to be higher and larger than usual, producing a very rich resonance from the G string to the high E string.
One of the attractions of Ripa is that it also increases the volume that the performer can hear.
This is a model that we would like anyone considering a high-class mandolin to try.
▼About painting
[Shellac paint]
It is possible to apply a thin hand-painted finish, which allows the wood to vibrate without interfering with the sound, and the instrument will resonate well even when new. However, the paint is very delicate, so care must be taken to maintain it.
☆Features of this model
[Pickguard]
Instead of using shell decoration, it is designed using a combination of walnut and maple for a beautiful finish.
[Sound hole]
Unlike a normal mandolin, it is located at the top of the sound board, a style that is only used on this model Ripa and model Anna Maria. This changes the vibrating part of the sound board and the sound output point, resulting in a sound that is not found in other models.
[head]
The head shape is a Roma style, which is rare among colored mandolins, and the tuning pegs are also made by Schaller. The Roma style has the tuning pegs supported on both sides, so it is durable and will not tilt even after years of use.
